BEN KENNEDY

Hello, and thank you for taking a deeper look into what CAMP is all about.

I created CAMP because I want to make it easier for people to get outside, connect with nature, build community, and support their mental wellbeing through meaningful outdoor experiences.

Nature has always held a special place in my heart. Throughout my life, it has provided perspective, healing, challenge, adventure, and countless opportunities for growth. CAMP is my way of sharing some of those experiences with others.

About five years ago, I decided to make a significant change in my life. I wanted a career that felt more connected to my values, the outdoors, and helping people. That decision eventually led me down the path of outdoor education.

In 2023, I completed a Certificate IV in Outdoor Leadership and spent the year working and studying as an Outdoor Leader, taking young people aged 8–18 on camping expeditions across Australia. It pushed me well beyond my comfort zone and became one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

Today, I am completing my third and final year of a Bachelor of Outdoor Education and Environmental Science. In the years ahead, I hope to continue expanding my knowledge through further studies in mental health and education.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have nature as both my home and my classroom. Every time I step outside, I learn something new. CAMP was created to share those experiences with others and to help people discover the many benefits that come from spending time outdoors.

In a world that often feels busy, noisy, and disconnected, nature offers us something different. It invites us to slow down, breathe deeply, reconnect with ourselves, and remember that we are part of something much bigger.

Whether you're looking for adventure, friendship, personal growth, or simply a chance to spend more time outdoors, I hope CAMP can help you find it.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a look around the website, join our community, and keep an eye out for upcoming hikes, camps, and events.

I hope to see you on the trail soon!

While my personal experiences with mental health have shaped CAMP and its values, I am not a mental health professional. CAMP is a community focused on connection, nature, adventure, and wellbeing. If you are experiencing significant mental health challenges, I encourage you to seek support from a qualified healthcare professional.

CAMP wouldn't exist without the incredible support of my partner, friends, and family. They've encouraged me every step of the way, and I am deeply grateful for their belief in this vision. As CAMP grows, I hope to welcome more people to the team, but for now, this adventure starts with me.
